Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla Collector’s Edition

I think I speak for everyone when I say WOW! Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla looks incredible.

As with all Assassin’s Creed – and Ubisoft in general really – titles there will be various editions available. So, we will look at what is on offer and where you can possibly snap up your preferred version of Valhalla.

The mission The Way of the Berserker is rewarded to all pre-orders regardless of what version it is.

Standard

It goes without saying that is can be purchased by all retailers in whatever country you reside in. The average price will come in at £50.

Gold Edition

This is recommended for anyone that wants the Season Pass if you know for a fact that you will wish to access all the DLC that Ubisoft will add to Valhalla, then the gold edition could be the right version for you. It is available at all games retailers and will retail for around £84.99.

Ultimate Edition

The Ultimate Edition includes all that the Gold standard does and more. It contains the Ultimate Pack and consists of the following:

– Berserker Gear Pack

– Berserker Longship pack

– Berserker Settlement Pack

– Runes to sharpen and improve gear

In the UK, the Ultimate Edition is exclusive to GAME for a price of $99.99.

Collector’s Edition

AC Valhalla CE

The main attraction of this post, my oh my what a beautiful Collector’s Edition Ubisoft has on offer. I’m going to point out straight away that this version of the game is exclusive to the Ubisoft store, no retailers will have access to the CE.

Let us take a look at what goodies we can get for £179.99.

Firstly, unlike other AC Collector’s Editions, Valhalla’s will include a game version with the Season Pass. In fact, it will have the most expensive copy of the game – the Ultimate Edition. Thank god given the price tag that comes with this purchase.

Due to the higher cost, all owners will get a certificate of authenticity. Always a nice touch when dipping so deep into your bank account.

Okay, the main attraction of any Collector’s Edition is the statue that you will be adding to an ever-growing collection. As with Odyssey, Valhalla will feature a male and female protagonist for the player to choose from.

The 30cm figurine is of the female version of Eivor. An impressive statue if I do say so myself, certainly one that deserves to sit alongside Bayek and my Spartan warrior.

Furthermore, there is a 5cm Viking statuette of the male version.

Curiously, no artbook is included, not that all CE’s have them but Assassin’s Creed ones usually do. However, it does come with a set of three lithographs. A selected game soundtrack disc is also included. Of course, a very lovely looking steel book is the final piece of a very impressive looking Collector’s Edition.

Overall, I would say that the pricing for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla’s Collector’s Edition is worth the money. All I’m left to ask is with the game coming to next-gen consoles too, will a CE be made available for the PS5 and Series X?

I have already pre-ordered the Collector’s Edition. Which copy will you pick up?

  • As my gaming wife and I are retired and financially strapped, I suspect we will go for two Gold editions, although we did get the Ultimate Edition x2 of Odyssey and had no regrets. But we noted our saving was negligible against the drop in price a few months later.

Plus, I got ‘burnt’ over Ghost Recon Breakpoint which I pre-bought the Ultimate Edition of after the first beta. That was a badly bugged game that plays even worse for me now some months after release; and I was a fan of Ghost Recon Wildlands.

    • Ah that’s fair enough, at least the gold edition still includes the Season Pass so you can get all the content!

Yeah Breakpoint was unfortunately bug riddled. Luckily, I just went with the standard edition so I didn’t get burned too badly.
