2K reveals the WWE 2K20 cover

Every year, without fail, I purchase the new WWE game, have done ever since I was a little kid. A life long wrestling fan, with a huge passion for gaming, WWE games have always been a winner with me, granted I didn’t overly rate previous years instalments. 2K19 was a huge improvement over what came before it.

The long wait is over, as the official Twitter account for WWE 2K20 has revealed the cover.

One of the most exciting things for any wrestling fan who can’t wait to get the newest game is waiting to see who will grace the cover. Let’s be honest since last year there have been so many rumours, several superstars in the running. This year two wrestler grace the cover, Roman Reigns, not overly surprising, the big dog was due a cover at some point.

However, front and centre is The Man herself, Becky Lynch! I had a feeling it would be the Irish Lass Kicker, after the year she has had, from feuding with real-life best friend Charlotte Flair, to winning the Royal Rumble and main eventing WrestleMania, ultimately capturing both the Raw and Smackdown Women’s championships.

It made sense for one of the main women to take this honour, one of the four horsewomen. Becky has been one of the biggest names for the women’s revolution. Honestly, the only other woman who would have been as deserving of being the first woman to be in the centre of a cover would be Charlotte Flair.

Becky is a household name, as I already mentioned, there are other women who draw in the crowds these days. But Lynch has been the face of the women’s division for a year now, that heel turn came at the right time.

I would like to point out that Torrie Wilson was on the front cover for Smackdown vs Raw 2008, though she was more in the background.

WWE 2K20 will be released on October 22nd. Three editions of the game have been confirmed, Standard, Deluxe and Collectors.
