Mortal Kombat 11: Kabal confirmed

With the release for Mortal Kombat 11 a little over 2 months away we are going to see various announcements over the coming weeks, especially news concerning the roster of fighters we are due to have upon release.
Recently an old favourite has been confirmed to make his return, Kabal. Making his first appearance in the series in its third instalment MK3 as a former member of the Black Dragon faction created by Kano, effectively putting Kabal on the side of good, while he may not have been a playable character in his debut he did play an important role in the story of Mortal Kombat 3. The loyalty of this character has swung between good and evil as his appearances have racked up, Kabal has appeared in the following games:
Mortal Kombat 3
Ultimate Mortal Kombat
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
MK Trilogy
MK Advance
MK Deception
MK Shaolin Monks
MK Unchained
MK Armageddon
Mortal Kombat 2011
Kabal did appear very briefly in Mortal Kombat as an NPC in the story.
His weapons of choice are hook swords, Kabal is widely regarded as being one of the most powerful characters you can play as whenever he makes a playable appearance, a huge fan favourite for sure, it’s just a shame his previous fatalities left a little to be desired. Perhaps a little known fact about this character is that he was originally to be named the Sandman with buzzsaw blades upon his wrists, fortunately that idea was scrapped and we were given the highly popular Kabal instead, having said that I do think the character of Sandman could have been unique and interesting character for the franchise.
Over all I have to say I can’t wait to see a newly revived Kabal make his awaited return to the series, his move set is always fun to use and it even looks like he may have a more interesting fatality his time around.
Good article! I wrote about my most anticipated games of 2019 and included MK 11 in the list, and I also wrote a separate article on the MK 11 Reveal Event for my blog. My brother is such a huge Kabal fan and was so hyped when he saw him teased at the event. I am so glad he is confirmed and can not wait for the other reveals. I am also hyped that D’Vorah is back. She was one of my favorites from MK X. I am, however, extremely bummed that Shaggy won’t be coming to MK 11, but I do know that we will get some awesome guest characters as DLC.

Super hyped with Mortal Kombat 11! I can’t wait this April. Glad to see Kabal made it to MK11. I really like how he deviated from being cartoony in previous MK games. IMO The 3D era wasn’t doing justice to him. He was sorta like goofy. I remember how Kabal used to give me a jump scare in MK3.
