Sunshine Blogger Award!!

So I have had the great honour of being nominated for the sunshine blogger award!! A massive thank you to triformtrinity who also deserved his award massively! He is a great blogger and a pleasure to chat with, go ahead and check out his blog, he creates great content such as this that is more than worth a look!
The rules are as follows:
- Thank blogger(s) who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
- Answer the questions the blogger asked you.
- Nominate new blogs to receive the award and write them new questions.
- List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.
So here are the questions that I have been asked (some of them were quite difficult to answer!)
- If you had the chance to write one article that could change a person’s life. What would you write about given your previous content?
I would definitely write about how video games have helped me to get through some difficult times in my life, from a very young age I used to get lost in the various worlds that I visited. Whenever I am having bad day I know for a fact I can put on any video game, escape to this other world and feel all my negative emotions disappear. Books tend to help people forget their troubles but video games can have the exact same affect.
- One day you see a portal to another world. Where does it take you?
I am hoping it will take me to meet Rick Sanchez! All the wacky adventures he and Morty go on are awesome so count me in! also I kind of love Mr Meeseeks…
- What type of music is your home? The type that you can always fall back on to fully relax and is the one that interests you the most.
I love various types of music but I would have to say Rock. Nothing gets me uite so relaxed as when I have Nickelback, Bon Jovi or Journey playing.
- You are making a game, what genre are going with and why?
RPG no question! I love the vast open landscapes that come with an RPG, the ability to create your own path, being able to do things your way, all the fantastic characters that I could create. The possibilities are endless for the genre.
- Breathing in space or breathing under water. Which one do you choose?
That is a tough one. But I’m going to have to pick breathing underwater, I love the ocean and I am fascinated by the many different species that occupy it! plus who knows maybe I will find a Megalodon that some believe to still exist… as long as it doesn’t eat me anyway.
- Favorite mascot?
Got to be one of playstations biggest mascots. I love Crash, he looks so cuddly and reminds me of myself, clumsy and a bit daft at the best of times.
- What is your morning routine before going to work/school/etc.?
It is usually the alarm goes off, I snooze it, the alarm goes off, I snooze it until I have wasted about 30 minutes. Then a cup of tea, make myself look half decent for the day and a quick go on whatever game I happen to be playing at the time until before heading of to work.
- Tell me a story of when you encountered your first video game.
Technically the first time in encountered a video game I was about three, I was in bed but for whatever reason decided to go walk about, I found my mum in the front room playing Resident Evil. While I may have fond memories of that mansion now I sure as hell didn’t at the time, it scared the hell out of me!
When I first actually played a video game my mum had just bought me my own PSone for my birthday and my furry friend Crash was the first in a long line of video games to captivate me.
- What is your element?
wind
- Why is this your element?
I love a good storm, I find listening to the wind and rain outside to be so comforting and relaxing. I also find lighting to be quite stunning to look at.
- Running or walking to your destination?
Has to be walking unless there are alcohol or doughnuts at the my destination, then it’s a case of “OUT THE WAY STRANGE GIRL COMING THROUGH!”.
Below are my nominees, they all more than deserve this, they create amazing content that I recommend taking a look at. I will link to their newest post so feel free to jump on over and check them out.

Luke at start your meeples – I don’t tend to write about board games very often but I do enjoy playing them, this blog is fantastic for anyone who is interested in board games, miniature games, card games anything like that. you can find their latest post here.
Kim at later levels – I have followed this blog for a long time now for the simple reason of it being brilliant! the content you find here is awesome, if you have an interest in video games at all then you should really jump over to later levels. check out their latest post here.
so they are my nominees and they all more than deserve the recognition of this award. I would like to give another shout out to triformtrinity who I would have nominated for this if it wasn’t his nomination I was responding to! also there is someone else I would have happily nominated for this award, but iplayedthegame also beat me to the punch by nominating me for this ward as well.
My questions to my nominees
- What is your favourite video game genre?
- If your life were a movie which one would it be?

- Indian or Chinese?
I will be back tomorrow with award number 2 🙂
aw, thank you so much for nominating me! Can’t wait to tackle your questions 🙂
This was a great read. I definitely agree with you on the first answer – video games are great for escaping the real world for a while, and you really can’t go wrong with the vast lands in RPGs!
